3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20Bottle. Enjoyed at home, out of my Maudite glass. Pours opaque black, medium pale tan head, lacing is spotty to good. Nose is spicy, hot peppers are immediately evident, with sweet Tootsie Roll notes, along with some fudgy background. A bit one-note, though very nice smelling. Flavours of spice, cocoa, coffee, and lightly sweet. This isn’t the equal of say Hunahpu or Chili Pepper Speedway, but a very worthy beer in its own right. 3 beers on, I am rather impressed with this brewery.

Pours deep black, minimal head. Sharp, sweet aroma and flavour. Mild coffee bitterness, dark malts and chocolate. Good stout.

Black color with huge tan creamy head. Aroma of coffee with milk, leather, smoke, dark fruits. Taste is light sweet, a bit sour. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Interesting stout but not one of my favourite

Black as the night, tiny tiny white head. Strong aroma of liquorice, roasted malts and cocoa. Maybe some spices also. Taste is liquorice, coffee, dark chocolate. Very bitter finish for an imperial stout, I love this!

Pours an opaque black with a nice big creamy light brown head(resembling a cappuccino no doubt) that lasts and leaves traces of lace up the glass. Aroma is roasted malts, liquorice, dark chocolate, and a bit of a nutty character. Flavour is dark roasted malts, dark cocoa, spicy sensation mixed with a light alcohol warming, liquorice, and coffee. Goes down pretty easy and im a fan of the spice, i think it’s done quite well overall.

Beautifull black with huge cappuchino head. Roasted and hoppy aroma. Coffee and chocolate, burnt notes. Taste the same with a late chiliburn. Did not know about the chili beforehand but nice level of burn.
Very creamy and full bodied with soft carbonation. Dangerously easy to drink.

Pours pitch black color with a small beige head. Aroma of coffee, dark roasted malts, dark fruits, caramel and dark chocolate. Flavor of cocoa, espresso, licorice and dark roasted malts. Some mild chili notes on the finish. Very good.

Una delle mie stout preferite. Gusto tostato e torrefatto intensi e lunghi, ma la sorpresa sta tutta nel finale, un retrogusto piccante interessante, sorprendente, ma soprattutto azzeccatissimo. Birra molto corposa e dal grado alcolico impegnativo, che sostiene perfettamente il gusto intenso e deciso di questa fantastica birra. Da provare e da amare.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pours black with a little sediment and a tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, chilli, and liquorice. Flavour is roasted malt, chilli, and liquorice – has a nice chilli bite in the finish.

On tap at Barcelona Beer Festival 2013. Small Pint (20cl). Pours a deep dark brown colour (almost black) with beige creamy head. Roasted malts, vanilla, nuts and hints of cereals on the nose. Very similar flavour: coffee and chocolate notes added. Full body, average carbonation. Actually very classic in style, but still a great beer. Good stuff!

Denso color marrone molto scuro con un cappello di schiuma marroncina di medio spessore. Aroma e gusto sono fedeli l’uno all’altro: tostati, maltosi, caffettosi e nocciolati; struttura cremosa, corpo medio-abbondante, morbida e piacevole al palato. Grande Imperial Stout italiana!
