COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This bottom fermented beer is golden yellow in color with floral and herbaceous hop aromas (due to the use of Tettnang Tettnanger blooming hop variety personally selected during harvest time). The finish is sharp with a hoppy bitterness and hints of acacia honey.
Elegant, balanced and gratifying: there is always room for her!

La VIÆMILIA being my first creation, is considered by many our signature brew. Although it may appear a simple lager, its brewing is the longest and most delicate. It is cellared for at least 6 weeks, out of which the first week is for primary fermentation and the remaining 4 to 5 for lagering at 3◦C to allow the young beer to refine. During this last phase hop flowers are added. Every year, at the beginning of September, we travel to personally select hops from the farmers of Tettnang (a small village in the south of Germany renowned for cultivating high quality aroma hops).VIÆMILIA unravels such extraordinary floral and herbaceous hop aromas due to the dry hopping process.

Manuel was inspired to call it VIÆMILIA since this beer is an anthem to our land, oppressed by thick fogs during the winter and withered by a merciless sun during the summer afternoons. The verses of a poet from Bologna helped me to put into words the mental image of a lazy day in June.

Pours a medium golden color with a two finger white fizzy foam. Nose is classic cracker and dough with light floral grass and a touch of citrus rind. Palate follows with nice balance and amazing drinkability. Fresh grassy bitterness cleans up the finish. Crushable.

Nice head that stays for a while. Nicely bitter, perhaps a bit more than I would be used to from other versions of this style of beer.

Slightly hazy straw, the nose is a bit herbal. Mild, moderately bitter and with a nice pale malt kiss...and fairly yeasty.

Rating #1014 - March 3, 2014 - #mondaynightbeers at Beer revolution, on tap 5%. Pours a clear yellow colour, nice white foam, medium retention. Aroma is pleasant, generously hopped - halleartau style floral earthiness, very true to a czech style pils.. Mouthfeel is bubbly and crisp, medium carbonation. Taste is hint of sweet malt, dries out in the fairly smooth finish with a nice hoppy presence. One of the best pilseners I’ve ever tasted.

Una buona pils, secca e amara come dovrebbe essere, non troppo luppolata ma si riconoscono piacevoli note floreali ed erbacee.

33 cl bottle. Unclear golden yellow, frothy white head slowly settles and lasts. Aroma is muted malt, floral hop. Lightly bitter spicy herbal hop, tart citrus, mild Pilsen malt. Average carbonation, light bodied, lightly hopped. Older bottle, sours a bit, be nice to try a fresh one or on draught. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)
