COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Actually the beer’s name is spelled VIÆMILIA.
Viaemilia is a distinctive pils, strong golden color with a tendency to a green shade, dry and strongly characterized by floral aromas coming from the hop variety Hallertau Mittelfrueh. One of the best pilsners in Italy.

A bit of a disappointing brew overall. Pours out a straw color with a cloudy body and tons of carbonation. A finger of white head dies instantly to a thin cap. The nose is spicy and lightly hopped with a nice German yeast and noble hop. The taste has a light toasty and cereal malt backbone and a spiced hop note and light yeast. Overall, a very average beer.

On tap@Blind Pig (Rome). Golden body with a persistent tall head. Looks nice, but when I drank it, it was nothing special. Very bad aroma. stink like a fraschetta in Frascati ("fraschetta" is a small osteria serving homemade wine), taste is grassy, but nothing special.

Pours yellow and crystal clear with a giant white head. Nose isn’t strong. Light hops and citrus. Taste is more bitter than the nose but still on the light side for a pils. Mouthfeel is sharp up front but mellows out rather quickly ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at Wachi. Nice fresh noble hop aroma, grassy, with light citrus. Cloudy, deep gold. Nice hop flavor with biscuity malt, rather yeasty. A bit plain, but very drinkable and enjoyable.

Very bitter lager with a long bitter aftertaste. the taste is light and fruity as an ale. The beer has little to offer beyond the bitterness and a slightly spicy touch. very elegant 33 cl bottle with 29 mm capsule

33cl bottle. Bubbly and clear straw yellow with a generous creamy white head. Fresh, grains, caramel with a bit of floral hops. Surprisingly bitter with some sweetness, very smooth although a little thin. Finish is pleasant but plain - mild malt and hops.

330mL bottle, pours a pale golden yellow with substantial white head. Aroma of grassy malts, lemon peel and orange zest. Flavour of the aforementioned, with high carbonation and a grassy, zesty finish. Decent pilsner.

330ml bottle from 16th Liquor in West Vancouver. Pours a murky yellow gold with thin white head. Aroma of Pils malt, noble hops, slight grass, light yeast, and a hint of lemon. Flavour is medium bitter. Tastes of Pils malts, noble hops, light yeast, light grains, and a hint of citrus. Medium body. Tingly, then dry texture. Average to lively carbonation. Noble hop, Pils malt, and light yeast finish is dry. Solid for the style.

DuffMan (4422) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 14, 2011
Bottle, shared by Parksy. Clear medium golden with a lively finely bubbled white head that stays long and leaves sheets of lace. Aroma is dried flowers, cut hay on a hot day, fruity undertones. Crackery malt, lightly toasty maybe, nice perfumey grassy hops in the midpalate with hints of green grapes, and a dry bitter finish. Both the hops and the malt are awesome in this beer, finely balanced with a complexity seldom found in a pilsener. Fantastic.
