75cl bottle from Grand Cru, Rimini. Big time aggressive gusher warning. Anyways, rating is from the half bottle that was left empty after the explosion. It pours a slightly hazy golden color with a massive fluffy white head. Aroma is funky, acidic, lemony, bretty. Taste is lightly sweet and medium funky/bretty/acidic. Notes of lemon juice, citrus peel, barn yard, funk, dust, pepper, grains, ripe peaches, light band aid. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, delicious saison

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
My Bottom Line:
This Wild Saison shares a beautifully fruity (pineapple) and floral perfume of hops and brettanomyces, leading to a coherent flavor profile showered in bubbles.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the cloudy blond. The head is fleeting though.
-The furious carbonation makes this brew quite enjoyable in that it disperses all flavors elegantly, but it can become a mouthful at times.
-The floral presence is tantalizing.
-The mouthfeel is expectedly dry.
-Citrusy fruitiness abounds as well.

Hazy straw yellow slight orange, light island of head. Light fruit scents like the breeze off of a field. Light bitter smooth fades into a light fruit with a little grassy zip at the end.

Bottle shared by Lukaduke or Nate (not sure), thanks! Pours hazy pale orange yellow with big pillowy head. Nose is musty barn funk and orange peel, hay. Taste is soft bretty citrus and hayfield, nice balanced funk compliments the taste and does’t overpower the subtleties of the beer. Finish is dry funky grain and clementine, soft lemon. Tasty!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a medium golden color with three fingers of tight white foam. The nose is blend of funky fieldgrass, horseblanket, rustic grain and some floral fruit and spicy pepper. The palate follows the nose and is everything I love about a crisp clean saison ! Great carbonation, complex flavors of straw, grass, hints of dusty lemon, barnyard funk, morning dew. Great little tartness, Yum !

750 ml bottle, lightly gushing. A hazy medium blonde beer, with a huge, frothy/fizzy, mostly lasting white head. The aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain/bread), moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs), moderately yeasty (barnyard, dust), with notes of lemon zest, perfume, lemongrass, hint of pineapple. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, dry and pretty long finish with moderate bitterness. A very interesting beer, bretty and rather intense. A tasty one

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
In short: An uber-rustic-farmhouse blonde Saison with a refreshing tartness. Excellent.
How: From a bottle at Montreal Mondial 2013.
The look: Cloudy yellow-blonde body topped by a large white head with medium retention leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: The strong nose is rustic-farmhouse the way I like it, evoking a walk in a rural area near a barn, countryside flowers and such… In mouth the beer has a very foamy-pillowy texture with a very lively carbonation. Taste has an omnipresent farmhouse yeast character, lemongrass, wild flowers, a certain tartness, lemon-pie with meringue, some citrus fruits. Overall quite dry. A refreshing beer. This is definitely a beer for those would like their Saisons with extra-rusticity, you gotta love expressive Saison yeast. My beer of the festival at Mondial 2013, totally unexpected surprise. Great beer. Most people didn’t like this beer as much as I did, but the best thing about ratebeer is that absolutely everybody can express their opinions, no, wait, no, that’s the worst thing about ratebeer, the best thing about ratebeer is probably the maximum number of characters.
