COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Top fermented beer which undergoes a secondary fermentation in bottle. It is intense gold, almost orange in color, with aromas of fruit in syrup (pineapple, peach and apricot), candy sugar, bread crust and a note of chives from the Belgian hops of Poperinge. Warm and sweet on the palate with a firm fizzy finish. Strong and structured, sweet and inviting. A tribute to a friend who went missing, who we may meet again one day, just like the sun that is hiding behind the hill.

Winterlude is also named after a Bob Dylan song, a perfect fit since it is a winter warmer. The idea of winter as an interlude representing both the pause before awakening and the oblivion before new life.
This beer is inspired by some varieties of the Belgian Tripels. The hops come from the Poperinge region, a variety I have always been fascinated by. I connected with one of the region’s local farmer and had him set a preferred variety aside from his most recent harvest.
Because it combines incredibly well with food, Winterlude has always made us proud with our catering industry clients.

Bottle. Golden and sweet with hints of alchol. Very drinkable and pleasant beer, without much bitterness.

330ml bottle pours a slightly cloudy golden color with about 3 fingers of white head with good retention that settles to some really nice lacing. Aroma is very mild citrus. Taste is a nice malty sweetness with some citrusy hop bitterness in the finish. Medium to heavy body and moderate carbonation leaving a pleasant feeling on the tongue. A pretty tasty brew.

Color dorato torbo, parecchi lieviti in sospensione, schiuma compatta e persistente.

Big white head with plenty of lacing left behind. Tons of bubbles rise throughout the drink. Saison-ish aroma. Tinge of sourness mixed in with a malt, hops and honey aroma. Alcohol on the nose as well. Tastes of sweet honey, alcohol, sugar and a slight bitterness. Coats the tongue with a sweet honey like slickness. Pretty good. A little too sweet and a lot of alcohol warmth. Would be a pretty good winter warmer.

Bottiglia. Miglior tripel italiana mai assaggiata, complessa, dolce e amara, buonissima.

Bottle 50 cl. Slightly hazy yellow pour with a huge white head, great durability. Aroma of malt, hops, yeast and some flower-like and alcohol. Creamy mouthfeel where alcohol is sensed. Moderate sweetness in flavor, with a slightly bitter taste and aftertaste. Alcohol also felt in the aftertaste

It’s hazy golden with a huge, creamy and lasting head. The aroma is fruity with notes of yeast and malt. The flavour is moderately sweet to sweet, and has notes of yeast, fruit, citrus, malt, and the finish is refreshing and slightly bitter and dry.
