330mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma of candied apple, licorice, cough syrup and yeast. Flavour of overripe, acidic light fruits (white grape, apples, pears), floral spices - almost gingery, some perfume and yeast. Interesting take on the style, as this is anything but orthodox. Solid.

Bottle, shared with my wife. Hazy medium golden with a lively finely bubbled head. Aroma is sweet pale malts and soft orchard fruits with delicate floral spice (thinking ginger but not quite?). I’m immediately taken by the tasty biscuity malt structure, very nice malts here, and equally nice fruity hops with a light spice character. This is a style that normally holds little appeal for me, but I really enjoyed this beer.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lubiere (8243) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 28, 2012
A hazed golden ale with a thick lacing frothy white head. In aroma, a smooth honey malt, grainy and smooth, grassy field. In mouth, a nice malty ale with smooth creamy notes, perfumy, light alcohol warmth, not bad. Bieropholie import, tasted May 12 2012.

Outstanding Tripel. This brewery has been a good show for me so far. Pours out a bright, clear and sparkly golden body with a thick and creamy beige head. The nose is fresh, floral, grass and spiced uniquely. An overall well balanced nose with a light floral accentuated hop with light toasty malt. The taste has sweetness and light grainy malts in the middle. Light clove and coriander spices with floral notes throughout. A bit bland and mild for a tripel with light esters and a bland yeast taste. Mid mouthfeel with a bit of a thin mouthfeel. Overall a great brew.

Draught at Bir & Fud. Deep gold, cloudy, with a high, pillowy head. Malty, yeasty aroma with peaches and honey. Rather acidic flavor, peach and melon and alcohol. Very sweet, with stewed fruits in honey, orange, lemon, bread. Tasty but too sweet—could use more attenuation and hopping.
