From bottle, at Mulligans, Milan. Clear amber colour with medium-sized head. Grassy maltiness here, with pretty much fruitiness involved. Very tasty beer with lots of fruits. Low bitterness as it should be, and a late, dry grassiness sets in. Not all malty, since the fruits dominate.

Bottle @ Italian tasting @ YNWA, Kolding. Pours a great clear red-oranges with a medium dense creamy off white head. Okay lacing. Aroma is sweet malty, wet corn, light rye bread and chocolate. Full and very creamy mouthfeel. Sweet flavour, with an initial metallic off flavour. Lots of bready rye, light vinious warmth and a slight chocolate in the aftertaste. A touch of flowery hops hit me in the aftertaste. A good bock, but that’s not really my style...

Medium offwhite head with coarse froth on top. Hazy light amber body. Strong earthy herbal licorice aroma, kind of unbalanced. Dry fruity hoppy taste with herbal malty notes. Dry herbal medicinal aftertaste with papery malty notes. Nice, but unbalanced. (0.75l bottle at Mulligan’s, Milan.)

Comments: Draught at the brewpub. Complex, very fruity and malty, toasty example. Exceptional palate, crisp and growing on you. I can’t believe how well balanced and fresh this is. World-class bock and second best beer I’ve tasted in Italy.

Nice orange colour, with a good head. A bit hazy. A powerful nose of malt, ripe fruit and hints of spices, pepper perhaps. Very lasting flavor, developing from malt sweetness in a bitter ending, tipycal of the beers brewed at Lurago. Warming and well carbonated, full bodied. Balanced.
