Thanks to JPDIPSO for bringing this - it was the start of a nonstop barrage of excellent beers that flowed for the rest of the night. I enjoyed this one. The combination of funkiness and fruitiness made it fun to drink.

Aroma / Appearance - The murky peachy body fizzed up to a height of one-finger at its highest. When it subsided, it left behind the smells of a musty barn, sour peaches and smoked bacon. Hiding in the background was a bit of spiciness waiting to be unleashed.

Flavor / Palate - A strong peachy impression floated through my mouth. The mouthfeel was spicy and hoppy with a background of cherry, caramelized sugar and a base earthiness. The aftertaste was slightly sweet and funky, reminding me most of raspberries. It was very mild - I could drink many of these on a warm day just to cool down.

1L bottle, courtesy of argo0. Thanks, Aaron! Pours a cloudy grapefruit appearance; off-white head with good lacing. Tart citrus and grapefruit; spice and floral notes in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel: tart grapefruit and citrus; mild, zesty acidity; yeasty notes. Medium, tart finish, showing grapefruit and some dough.

Bottle sample at Union Beer Trade Tasting, NYC. Honey-golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is very floral - lots of rose, clover and honey. Flavour is light, with similar floral notes to the flavour but more subdued. Fairly simple, but a nice & unique beer.

Poured a golden color with hints of amber, thin initial head, and weak lacing. The aroma was wheaty, floral, spicy (ginger?). The flavor was wheaty, dry, spiced with some pepper and light ginger, pretty odd spicing going on, I liked Berts live "dill pickle" deScriptor. Mouthfeel was dry and thin, somewhat acidic. A light but not so enjoyable beer. Good thing this was only 3.8%, as Bert had to down more than half of this on his own after I took off. Thanks, Bert!

1 liter bottle brought to Jimmack Invitationalí07. Bottle is now a year old. Pours a murky dark golden with a small head. Aroma is very original, very spiced ala raw meat rub. Spiky on the nose with lots of green herbs. Taste is a bit more died done, a very herbal, organic, green saison. Lots of flavors, light bodied and amply carbonated. Short organic-earthy aftertaste. Very original, would definitely drink again.

0,2L draught sample@Internationales Bierdorf, Tettnanger Hopfenwandertag 2014. Pours thin and somewhat milky, aroma of sweet pollen, wild honey, summery petals, some rose-scented bathfoam and mamouchy elderflower. Not picking up any pepper. Taste is sweeter and more lieblich than that, would prefer more attenuation, but still very pleasantly drinkable. More of a spring/summer seasonal.

Pours a dark, hazy golden orange color thatís almost brown with a two finger frothy off-white head that slowly fades into a lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind. Slightly earthy aroma with boozy sweetness and light fruit notes. Slightly floral with hints of apple, pear and citrus peel. Light bodied with heavy carbonation up front and a heavy spice profile. Slightly watered down with zesty pepper, citrus and light fruit notes. Hints of apple, pear, grape and other berries along with some lemon peel and honey. Thereís an odd metallic flavor toward the finish that hurts the drinkability and overall flavor.

Had this one for a couple weeks, as it seems itís now available in the US. 1L bottle. Pours a hazy orange with a huge creamy eggshell head. Aroma is sour fruits and a little funk--kinda saison-y, some floral aromas, misc spices. Flavor is quite tangy--maybe from the elderberry (I havenít had elderberries in years, so I canít remember their taste)? Some dust is also in there with some grassy hops, this doesnít get very bitter. Biscuity finish. Very light bodied, highly carbonated. Nothing exceptional, but not bad by any means. In fact, pretty good.
