3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Isola ella Birra, Milan.
Flowery, perfumes, rather sweet. Recommended with strudel, the menu says, yes perhaps. A fine beer for summer sipping, not intrusive, but it is a bit too anonymous to make great marks. Soft is the word. Violets, peaches, a hint of sourness in the tail

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Birra dell’Anno Awards 2007, Milan.
Hazy pale yellow colour. Now this is a light bodied beer with low aroma profile. Taste is very different, with innovative additions that gives a balanced pepper backbone, with notes of light almond paste and flowers. Maybe maybe the violets are noticed here. Body is light and there are no signs in flavour from the hops. Fresh beer all in all, and probably good as a session beer.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Small creamy shiny lasting white head. Hazy opaque amber body. Vague fruity malty aroma. Mealy watery fruity taste with hoppy notes. Aftertaste just fades out. Slightly muddy mouthfeel. It’s OK, but very boring. (0.35l draft at Isola della Birra, Milan.)

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as lighter notes of spices. The flavor is sweet with light notes of fruit, malt, straw, and lemons. The body is light.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured a golden color with hints of amber, thin initial head, and weak lacing. The aroma was wheaty, floral, spicy (ginger?). The flavor was wheaty, dry, spiced with some pepper and light ginger, pretty odd spicing going on, I liked Berts live "dill pickle" descriptor. Mouthfeel was dry and thin, somewhat acidic. A light but not so enjoyable beer. Good thing this was only 3.8%, as Bert had to down more than half of this on his own after I took off. Thanks, Bert!

Al naso è gradevole con questi profumi floreali però in bocca si percepisce poco ed è molto acquosa.

Bottle 75 cl. RBESG Rome 2010. Cloudy and opaque reddish golden with a rough off-white head. Spicy, flowery nose. Light body, dry fruit accents and notes of elderflower. Dry and lightly astringent spicy finish - although I certainly didn’t pick up all the stuff added. 070610
