Bottle at Birra+ as Sparrow Pit - barley wine.   Clear amber - white head. Light sour aroma. Wooden notes. Dryness. Fruity. Berries. Honey. Walnuts. Nice vineous.

Hazy amber color. A malty brew, with lightly fruity aroma, sweet flavor, sweetish; low bitterness. Pleasant, but not impressive.

Hazy amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of fruit (including apricot), caramel and strong alcohol. Sweet and fruity flavour , with hot alcohol. Some wine-like tannin in the finish.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of grapefruit and hops as well as medium notes of over ripe fruit and fresh peaches. The alcohol burn on the tongue.

Bottle at RBESG 2010 ROME ... copper ... sweet malt ... soft toffee creamy fruits ... low carbonation ... easy but boring.

[ As Sparrow Pit ].Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, dreid fruit, tobacco notes, light to moderate alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sharp, alcohol warm. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish is moderate alcoholic. [20100605]

From bottle. Pours clear golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is cheesy and dense caramelish. Thick malty and caramelish flavoured. Distinct alcohol presence and also rather bitter and hoppy.

Bottle 100 cl. RBESG Rome 2010. Pours a cloudy opaque amber with an off-white head. The nose has tart fruit and flowers with a whiff of wood. Quite full-bodied, caramel and wood, exotic fruit accents and again a light tartness. The finish is quite alcoholic. Interesting. 050610

1L. Bottle @ Johnny’s off License, Rome. Pours clear golden with a creamy large white head. Nose is very vinous, fruity and hoppy.Pine and orange. Smooth. Nice

June 5th 2010. AKA Sparrow Pit ! Cloudy amber beer, reasonable white head. A little sherbet fruit on the nose. Softish dry palate. Surprisngly a little sour but also has pineapple sweets and a little caramel malt. There is a little warmth in the finish but otherwise disguises it’s abv well.
