Tap at CKBB. Delicious lactic and earthen funk with nectar fruit sweetness, tropical fruits, and hints of bretty cheesecloth. Light body with a very crisp quenching finish.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Burrificio Italiano Tipopils Zymatore tap flight at Bavarian Lodge. Light golden, almost straw colored pour. White head coats the glass. Tart wood, sour candy, and a nutty malt finish. The layers aren’t to broad but diverse enough to make this interesting. Slightly sour in the mouth. This would be an excellent gateway beer for people starting out on sours.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Louisville Beer Store. Aroma was mostly whiskey; quite sour, but with some white grape, hay and light noble hops. Appearance was pale hazy yellow with white head. Flavor was pretty sour, really; I almost wonder if this should be classified as a sour/wild ale with it’s whiskey treatment. Palate is lightly bubbly and soft. Very good.
