Light gold with a big, fluffy white head. The nose is light sweet cereal grains, some honey. The taste is clean light grains, hints of honey. Bread. Basic but clean, lovely. Good texture. Nice.

330ml very dark glass bottle. Filtered. Present from Piers. Clean and firm yet dry pale lager with moderate hops. Pleasantly tasty, though lacking interest or delight.
I wasn’t aware of the esteem Ratebeerians held this beer in, and I’m somewhat surprised at the acclaim this simple, plain beer is getting. But each to their own - and much of the joy in drinking beer, is in drinking the provenance. I get excited when drinking beers that have a historic significance, such as Courage Russian Imperial Stout, and I understand that many people get excited when drinking beers that are currently popular on RateBeer.

Beer connoisseurs will repeat it has been better, but anyway Tipopils has gained the strength of a classic; there may now be better example of Italian pils, even if I might guess they are not too many, but I will always gladly return to this.

Intensive grassy hoppy aroma. Small quickly dissapearing head with some lacing. Clear light-golden body. Intensive bitterness in taste. High carbonation and bitterness makes this beer very refreshing.

Pils dorata. Bel cappello di schiuma cremoso. Poco carbonata. Profumata. Retrogusto maltato e finale amaro. Buona ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at The Hanging Bat. Clear pale golden body with a medium white head. Average carbonation. Nice lacing. Muted aroma of grassy hops, straw and earth. Flavour is clean, crisp and bitter. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Lively carbonation. A really clean, moreish Pilsner that ticks all the boxes.

Tap at Ruzanuvol in Valencia. Fresh, crisp and balanced. A great beer to have on hot summer nights. The best pilsner out there.

Excellent!

Just a few words for this beer: how a pilsner should be. Hoppy and herby aroma, fresh taste, somehow watery but in the right way. It reminds an IPA for the large amount of hop they use but it’s more clear and pure.

On tap at Epcot Center Italy. Pours a slightly hazed golden yellow with a tight off white head. Aroma has a nice pilsner grain profile with lightly peppered aromas and notes of honey. Citrus hops and a hint of alcohol come in behind. The grain subsides in the taste a little and the brightness falls slightly, the hop sweetness is still there but again slighlty muted. Body is light with soft carbonation and a creamy feel with a clean finish.
