Questa birra è una Ale, di colore ambrato scarico ad alta fermentazione prodotta utilizzando malti e luppoli tipici inglesi. La particolarità assoluta di questa birra sta nell’utilizzo innovativo del caffe Huehuetenango in chicchi, tostati e non. Il prodotto finale avrà note spiccate di caffe appena fatto, in un colore marrone tonaca di frate. Pur avendo al palato le note classiche di una tradizionale birra, spicca al naso e nel retrogusto un timbro netto di caffè aromatico quale è il Huehuetenango.
This beer is an ale, amber-colored discharge high fermentation produced using traditional English malts and hops. The particularity of this beer is absolutely innovative in the use of Huehuetenango coffee beans, toasted or not. The final product will be marked notes of fresh coffee in a brown robe of a monk. Although the palate the notes of a classic traditional beer, stands on the nose and aftertaste of a stamp net of aromatic coffee which is the Huehuetenango

Bottle @ Blindtasting Brugmansia/Fonefan, June 2010. Pours dark brown with a small creamy off white head. Nose is nells, herbs, caramel and coffee beans. Flavor is ashy and dry. Medium bodied. Very one dimensional.

Blindtasting at Fonefan 12.06.2010, thanks Jan and Charlotte! It’s slightly hazy, dark red mahogany and the aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffee and light chocolate. The flavour is moderately sweet with notes of coffee, light chocolate, light dark fruits and the finish has a touch of citrus.

Bottle from Smith’s. Turnid ruby brown pour w off white head. Nose is heavy coffee, malt, hops. Tastes of coffee, fruit, hops, roasty, but falls apart as it warms, becomibg a chore to finish.

Clear dark red brown color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, hay, roasted, caramel, chocolate, coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, coffee, dark roasted, dusty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100612]

33 cl. Opaque black with a lasting disc of foam. Aroma is tart cherry, tobacco, ash and coffee. Flavor is coffee, semi-sweet chocolate, and mixed sourish berries. A touch of cookie dough as well. Medium-heavy body is way too fizzy in the mouth, but has a nice roast-acidic dryness on the finish.

750ml Bottle: Faint aroma of chocolate, cocoa nibs, and malt. Poured dark brown in color with a small, brown head that diminished but lasted around the edges. Opaque. Not Sparkling at all. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of chocolate and malt. Medium body. Thin texture. Soft carbonation. Chocolate and roasted malt finish is thin. I do not get any coffee in the aroma or flavor.

Deep brown pour. The nose is lightly sweet with a distinct cold coffee flavour. A little bit vegetal as well. The coffee is there but there is very little else going on. Thin and a little bit acidic and astringent... meh. It’s not really very good.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours dark brown with a generous tan head and a coffee aroma. The flavor is also of coffee with some chocolate. It’s slightly sweet and quite intense. I was surprised to find that this beer carries an average rating. I liked it a lot.
