Bottle from Domus Birrae, Rome
The malts used include Maris Otter and Kristal; the hops are mainly East Kent Golding (from the label)
Dark amber color, hazy, with red hue; generous head. The aroma is moderately hoppy, and then a bit fruity and yeasty; as promised, it’s quite British. Good body strength, smooth mouthfeel; strong caramel flavor, indeed quite sweet, like some American one; but this IPA is a direct evolution in line with the English style; there is good hopping, moderate bitterness, light fruity touch and light yeast character. The final is quite balanced, with caramel and light hop fruitness, and an increased yeast feeling.
Very good, and also an original change from the American style IPAs.

Bottle shared at Haggerty’s Fantasy Tasting. Pours dark amber with a short tan head. Dark fruit and malty aroma. Light bitter finish. Not memorable.

Colore ambrato scuro e schiuma abbastanza persistente. Aroma con note di malto e frutta, che non dispiace. Anche in bocca non è niente male, molto rustica e ben luppolata.

Bottle shared by haggerty. Pours ruby with a thin beige head and a fruity aroma. The flavor is grainy and herbal with a bitter finish.

Cloudy amber with a lasting off-white head. Perfumed aroma of lime peel with herbal notes. Sweet citrus hoppy flavour with herbal notes

Bottle: Poured a reddish orange with white head. Aroma is light hops. Taste is gritty hops.

Bottle @ Papsø-Grand-Tasting, September 2010. Pours hazy amber with a creamy head. Nose is citrus hops and yeast. Dry, fruity and hoppy flavor. Medium bodied. Dry hoppy end.

Bottle 330ml.

Clear medium amber color with a large, frothy to cream, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, caramel, moderate to light light heavy hoppy, citrus - orange, moderate yeasty, leather. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100912]

Bottle at Papsø’s - Thanks. Clear brown - white head. Roasted, fruity, lovely hoppy, berries, nutty, grassy, light bitterness, light sweetness. OK.

Bottle at Papsø. Cloudy orange coloured with a meidum sized off-white ehad. Fruity aroma of spices, hops and pine needles. Fruity flavour of hops, grape fruits and pine needles. Hoppy finish.

Hazy amber with a large beige head. Hoppy nose with toasted malt, caramel and fruity notes. Hoppy flavor with grapefruit, pine, lemons and toasted malt. Finished dry and bitter.
