On tap at Hoppy Days. Reddish brown colour, beige head. Aroma of lots of citrus, hint of pine, lemon and grapefruit, mango, some roast. Flavour is medium sweet, some roasted malts, grapefruit, lemon, other fresh citrus fruits, hint of coffee, bitter finish, some toffee. Light bodied. Very easy BIPA. Nice.

Black IPA, stable head. Biscuit, dry, full. Dark, fresh, green hops. Soft carbonation. Really nice but for me personally a bit light and not quite malty enough. That’s personal though. (On tap at Hoppy Days)

Draft @ Hoppy Days. Pours a black beer with a small off white head on top. Aroma is slightly hoppy, licorice, molasses. Flavor is very sweet, loads of licorice again with a slight bitter touch in the back. Very nice beer.

On tap at Hoppy Days. Murky brown black pour with thin off white head. Aroma is malty, tons of chocolate, light piney notes, woody hop. Taste is bitter nice malt sweetness, again tons of chocolate, more like a slightly off balance porter than a BIPA to me but anyhow. Palate is med bodied with light carbonation. Good.

330 ml bottle at Birra+. Dark copper, pretty hazy, with a big, creamy and persistent light beige head. Good lacing. Pretty strange name thoug for a beer nowhere near as black. Nice toasted and caramel forward nose. Quite hoppy as well (esp. citrus). Lovely herbal and resinous bitterness in the mouth. Rather juicy and properly dry. Not much dark/smoky/roasted component to speak of, just some wild type of berries notes. Mild sugary sweetness in the aftertaste. Average carbonation, medium body, creamy texture. Nice, but very different, imho, from a "typical" BIPA.
