Bottle in Rome. Opaque black beer, tidy pale tan head. Light dry palate. Dark malt, no roast. Just a little bitter. Mild lactose. Mild minerals and apologetic orangey hops. Dry finish. Meh!

Pours dark as night with a thick brown head. Nose is huge coffee chocolate and some nuttiness. Taste is not strong. Light bitterness and a touch sour. Palate is sharp at first and then drops off altogether. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strepitosa stout del Rurale, questi lavorano bene bene; uno dei 2-3 migliori assaggi di ieri.

Dark brown, tan head. Big head. Great milk stout taste. Sweet and dry at the same time. No coffee. I thought it said coffee on the bottle. Sweet on the back. Much like Foreign Extra Stout all around, but a bit better. Excellent craft beer out of Italy.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It pours a slightly unclear, dark brown body with a reddish hue. A thin, dense layer of dark beige bubbles on top. Roasted, coffee aroma with a little touch of prunes and toffee. Slightly buttery, but not at an annoying level. Coffee, toffee and bitterness in the flavor, some bitterness towards the end. Medium body, dry. A decent beer indeed, but nothing superb. Drinks easily and tastes good, along with some chocolate it would be very nice I guess. 110319
