Birra ispirata allo stile American Style Black Ale (Black IPA), prodotta artigianalmente utilizzando acqua, malto d’orzo, luppolo e lievito.

Backlog rating. Keg at FOB, Rimini. It pours a dark brown color with a medium tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, licorice root, dark chocolate and piny hops. Taste is medium bitter roasty and fruity. Notes of apricots and mango, pine cones, coffee, dark chocolate and roasted wood. Medium body with good carbonation. Overall, good BIPA

dangerously "beverina" scura non torbida dal primo assaggio si fa bere con insolita facilità x essere una birra scura ideale con pizza ai peperoni

Nice and dark but really balanced in terms of the hoppiness. This beer pours jet black but it isn't super thick the way you expect a black beer to do.

33cl bottle. Pours black with some red glare and a creamy light beige head. Aroma is sweet and roasted malts, some caramel, some sourish and grassy notes. Taste is similar, with some more roastiness, coffee and (very) light sweet fruits. Bitter grassy hoppy finish.

Bottle 0,3 litres. Colablack appearance with thin light beige head. Aroma is sweet malt and piny hops. Quite mild and not that special. Taste is more complex with roasted malts, coffee, sweet liquorice and grapefruit. Pretty long and nice bitter after taste. Medium palate. Excellent tasting beer with poor aroma. Would drink again.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2014 Draught @ Bir&Fud, Roma; dark brown to black colour, cramy beige head. Aroma is citrussy, piny with roasted, light caramel, brown sugar and some fruity notes. Flavor is medium sweet, rich of toasted malts some chocolate, dried fruit hints and citrussy hops. Body is light, as well as carbonation. Pretty nice brew but without any surpluses.

My Bottom Line:
Citrus and black grapes meet resins and roast in this lightly tart and dry Black IPA.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A healthy head of foam laces atop the dark brown-hued blackness.
-This lacks malt definition and hop clarity for the style.
-This is quite drinkable, but it is also forgettable for a 7.5% brew.
-Light caramel is found underneath.
-The flavour profile is not entirely harmonious.

On tap at Ma Che Siete, Roma.
