Birra in stile American Pale Ale, prodotta artigianalmente utilizzando acqua, malto d’orzo, luppolo e lievito.

Draft @ ML Fontainas, Italian Fest Sept ’14.

Draught Good white dense & fine head over clear old-golden beer. Dry noble hops. Slightly cheesy (as the old hops for lambic). Dry, but noble hops, but also dry malts. Giving excellent balance. BIt of maltsyrup (in the nicest possible way). Fresh garden herbs, tad grassy. Not very-well bodied, but quite slick. Just enough carbonation. Maybe the best balance between hops and malts ever tried.

Bottle from Domus Birrae, Rome. Pours hazy golden with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, floral hops, light weedy, light tropical fruit. Flavour is light sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

My Bottom Line:
Citrusy and floral hop flavours roam within this Pale Ale’s creamy mouthfeel, alongside delicate straw and honey.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam covers the misty pale golden.
-The flavour profile is not unlike that of many UK Golden Ales.
-Mouthfeel is on the dry side.
-A resinous hop return balances out the finish.
-Drinkability is very high.

On tap at Lortica, Bologna.

Tasted on tap the 04/07/2014. Yellow colour with a big and creamy white head. Taste of malts and fruits. Aftertaste is very complete and adds a lot of things to the beer. I enjoyed this one. Next one please!

Bottle at La Cantina Di Miky, Minterosso. Hazy orange body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of pineapple, lemon and Um Bongo. Flavour of fresh hops, lemon and orange Calippo ice lolly. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A sharp American Pale Ale, almost like a blend with a tangy Witbier.

On draught (alla spina) at Cafe Coccio in Milan. Thick white crothy head. Appearance hidden by ceramic glass. Cafe refuses to use a glass glass! Nice hoppy aroma. Medium body. Hoppy flavor balance with supporting maltiness. Mellow hop bitterness. Hoppy finish. A nice pleasant Pale Ale.

330 ml bottle from BG Birra, served in a shaker glass. Very pale canary yellow, pretty clear, with a big, creamy, forever lasting white head. Great lacing. Excellent nose, I wouldn’t call it fresh but certainly pungent and quite aromatic, with notes of citrus (mainly mandarine), tropical fruits, floral hops, lime peel and bready malts. Taste follow suite, even though there is a tiny malt astringency upfront. Big bitterness, certainly bigger than in a typical APA. Again citrusy and slightly more citric in the end. Long and persistent fruity bitter aftertaste. Average carbonation, medum body, creamy texture. Great!

Pale cloudy yellow, white head. Heavily smells of pineapple, taste adds some other fruity notes (light peach, grapefruit). Very good aromatic hops finish.
