From tap to PET bottle as "Miežinis Premium". Light golden body, medium head. Sweet malty aroma with lots of cookie dough and light yeast. Simple malty taste with sweet butter cookies. Medium hoppy finish. A solid lager.

Small white head. Clear yellow body. Light mealy grainy aroma with notes of freshly sawn wood. Sweet-dryish dried fruit and flour taste with earthy herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry earthy fruity floral aftertaste with strawy pea notes. Nice and highly drinkable, if a bit anonymous. (0.5l draft at Vilniaus Alus, Vilnius.)

(Rating #4228)

My Bottom Line:
Honey-laced cereals ride this lager’s soft effervescence while herbal hops provide a smidge of bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the clear golden.
-Their lineup is really similar to Rinkuskiai’s, an important competitor in Northern Lithuania.
-Mouthfeel is quite pleasant. Many Czech breweries (the bigger ones) produce similar brews.
-Although generic, this is perfectly serviceable and showcases its quality malts nicely.

Bottle.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2012 500ml bottle (SOPP2009) (4:2:4:2:7=1.9)
Pale. Nondescript aroma. Dull malty taste, low hops. A touch papery. Heading towards macro levels. Some honey and floral perfume.
Rerate: 500ml bottle (Birzu Brewery) (5:2+:5:3:10-=2.5)
Pure barley grains. Smooth palate. Sweetish grainy taste. Quite full for a pale. Good lacing, but otherwise very pale.
