JPDIPSO (4957) - Wauwatosa, USA - APR 9, 2008
Hazed light golden color with a fizzy off-white head that diminishes rather quickly. BB 2 May, 08 - but it smells like it may have been on a warm ship. Stale wheat and malt and only hints of dried flowers. Perhaps some banana, but even that is past its prime. Sharp in flavor with lemon and dated spices. Thin spritzy body. Linger has a light lemon ring quality, but the linger gets sticky with cream of wheat.

This beer was very light of clove and spices - given it’s style. The body was pretty fruity and had some soft, yeast flavors as well. In the finish was some light herbs and was sort of dry. Eh

Dirty straw color with a nice foamy head which lasts for a bit. Citrust aroma with a significant sweet taste and a nice smooth finish.

4/20/12. 12oz bottle labeled as "Bischoff Premium Hefeweizen." Slightly hazed orange pour with a frothy off-white head that sticks and laces in small sheets. Zingy aroma with orange peel and a bit of spiced followed by banana, yeast, cream, and a touch of bread. Sweet banana and orange flavor, a touch tangy, with more cream and light bread. Not bad.

Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 330 ml bottle - labeled as Bischoff Premium Hefeweizen. Hazy medium golden pour, long lasting bubbly white head. Cloves and banana flavoring in the aroma. Flavor has a hint of bubble gum, some cloves and a bit of yeastiness. Thick enough mouthfeel.

Draught at the Porter and Sons, Tel Aviv. Pours cloudy blond with a big white head. Banana and some bubblegum and biscuits aroma, with some conserved peach. Mildly sour and a little bitter taste, smooth, medium body and rather flat.

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2012 From mr johny’s stache courtesy of coldbrewky. Pours a straw yellow into my bischoff weizen glass. No head what do ever, lots of carbonation. Hint of malt in the nose. Nice clove upfront, Light crackery sweetness. Well balanced and actually pretty enjoyable. Rated via BeerBuddy

I am not sure if I’ve ever had a hefe w/ green bottle skunk before but it’s really too bad it’s finally happened. This is a nice, cloudy orange brew w/ a thin head of fine bubbles. Nose is a bit skunky but w/ a real nice citrus and banana aroma otherwise. Bready malt makes a big appearance as do cloves and other spices. Texture is nice and thick but doesn’t have the creamy carbonation the best beers of this style do. This might be a nice beer overall but one w/ flavor flaws due to the packaging. To be honest, I feel not taking the most basic and inexpensive step of using brown bottles to protect beer brewed for export speaks volumes about the brewery in question. It’s too bad because it seems clear that there’s at least someone around Bischoff who knows what they’re doing. They just don’t appear to get to make this important decision.

Hazy golden yellow in color. The head is whitish and fairly strong. Crisp with hints of spice and citrus. Just enough malt flavor to let you know it is there.

bottle. Green bottle...really? Pours a proper straw hazy color with a fine white frothy head. Aroma is a little weird, phenolic rubbery, light banana/ & love, some skunky noble. Flavor follows, soft banana, nice and dry which I like, but the skinky hop thing is killing it, balanced clove. Light bodied, soft sizzling carbonation, just enough grit/protein.
