2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Keg (St. Urho’s, Helsinki)
Straw colour, small tight white head. Bready grainy aroma. Slightly creamy and grainy taste, hint of hops at the back of the mouth. Slightly fizzy palate. For a beer that tastes of almost nothing, this is fairly pleasant - what is there is pretty OK.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Lightly hazed golden color with a moderate off-white head. Dry malt and dough aromas with a hint of herbal hops and touch of lemongrass. Smooth, with enough eff to keep it interesting. Lightly toasted malt with some dry herbal hops. The bottle is a touch dated, but this held up well. I would wager a fresh sample would bump this up 3 to 4 tenths.

i think i might have gotten a bad bottle. the beer highly fruity with rich banana tastes, overall a little sweet and mildly hoppy. seems like it would have been a good beer so i’m going to give it a three

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice golden color, nice tall white head that had a good hang time then faded slowly to leave a slight lace behind. The aroma was nicely malty with maybe some slight graininess and a bit of hops in there as well. The flavor was not bad fairly malty taste with a nice sweet side and a bit of hops coming through in the end but not overly done.Pretty easy to drink brew and fairly refreshing on a hot day.I think it’s worth trying again.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From a 1 pt. 9 oz. euro brown bottle with a freshness date on the lower right of the back label.
Poured a clear dull golden with a foamy white head that quickly settled in a thin lacing.
Aromas of bread malts, a light sour fruitiness and a soft spicy, herbal hops, pretty simple.
Moderate carbonation and a soft crisp, smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Pleasant, but overall, bland tasting, sweet bready malts, a little sugary malty too, a light lemon flavor that mixes with the spicy, herbal hops that are soft in their bitterness, and a dryish sour lemon and bready finish, while average tasting, the smoothness raises the drinkability.
A nice and agreeable German lager, not great, but is very quaffable on a August summer night in the midwest. Consumed while the White Sox beat the Twins, Go Sox!!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very strong flavor of bread dough and lightly roasted malt. Very soft mouthfeel with a velvety smoothness that almost coats the tongue. Touches of citrus tartness followed by a lightly herbal and flowery hoppiness. Decent.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This lager pours a yellow gold color from a 500ml bottle. Large sized white foamy head, with strong lacing. Aroma is a little malty, slightly herbal and sweet. A medium bodied lager. Malts are bready and sweet. Hops are citrusy and floral. A touch harsh tasting with a hint of cardboard. Mild carbonation. Crisp and clean. Light and sharp. Drinkable, but there is nothing to distinguish this beer from the 1000’s of other lagers out there. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
