3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MoritzF (7835) - Bochum, GERMANY - NOV 21, 2005
(bottle) Clear and pale yellow colour with a big foamy white lacy head. Sweet malty aroma with cake dough and floral hops. Crispy mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, sweetbitter flavour. Fine malty taste, slightltly sweet with a rounded floral hoppiness in the light bitter finish. Quaffable.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Cornfield (5276) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - AUG 26, 2005
Wow, what a snootful of wort-like malt you get from this lager! A lot of freshly baked biscuits, some wet grass, and a slight hit of floral hops. Gold and near headless, this is very smooth in the mouth. The flavor is a slightly weaker version of the aroma, still satisfying, with a swelling of malty sweetness in the finish, followed by a touch of earthy hop bitterness. Very good.

Bottle
Golden, low visible carbonation, quickly dissipating foamy white head.
Fresh aromatic hop aroma on a weakish straw malt base.
Lightbodied straw malt balanced with restrained aromatic hops. Completely dies on me in the exit.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 noelcb (271) - Toledo, Ohio, USA - APR 13, 2005
Medium-light golden brass solid head. Aromas of wet concrete, lemon, earth and green hay. Well-balanced taste, yields notes of herbs, ginger, raisens, hops, citrus, chocolate and malt. Lots of carbonation gives a good mouth feel. Drank it with a plate of brats, potatoes and sauerkraut. Perfect match.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 DarkElf (2961) - La Jolla, California, USA - MAR 13, 2005
(16.9 oz bottle: $2.29 at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, CA) Very much a sub par German beer, and with the moderate cardboard flavor and nose, it’s not even a good pale lager. Lightly sweet and bready, and the hops has very little presence, so though the cardboard isn’t especially strong, it’s still fairly prevalent and a slight knock on what would probably be close to an average beer by my picky standards. The nose is totally grain and cardboard, and not necessarily in that order. Light to medium in body, but kind of dead and boring on the palate. Clear and pale yellow in color. White head is small on the pour and fades to a rim fairly quickly. No lacing to speak of. I guess I won’t be drinking this beer ever again.

Muted yellow with fortress of a foamy white head. Odd candy aroma, but a nice sweet malty flavor, with a silky feel.

Hazy yellow appearance, moderate head formation. Sweet malty nose, slightly grainy. Sweet honey palate, malty, lemon. Swet cloying finish.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Poured a pale golden colour, with a quickly diminishing white head. Moderate carbonation. Aroma is hoppy with some citrus notes. Taste is nice; honey to begin with a light malt background. A nice bitter flavour develops iin the roof of the mouth and sweet again at the end. Medium body and mouthfeel. One of the best pale lagers I’ve tried.

Pours a golden yellow with a frothy white head. Aromas of citrus and light hops.. Flavors of noney, sugar, a little bubble gum and a little raisin. Surprisingly, this isn’t half as bad as I thought it would be. For a pale lager, it is awesome...
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 DanielBrown (3218) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAR 21, 2004
Bottle from Beers of Europe (website). Nice creamy white head, and a slightly cloudy demeanour, otherwise standard lager fare. A rich sweet aroma - obviously lagery. Nice stuff, smooth and citrus to start, quite sweet, with a slight raising of dryness towards the end. A quick crust of bitter, then a long sweet finish. Not complex in the grand scheme, but good for a lager bier, and well balanced and entertaining.
