Bottle. Vibrant amber looking beer with a strongish white head. The aroma is lightly toffee and hopped, and the flavour is very strongly bitter, roasted and toffee. Overall a strongly flavoured beer, maybe too toffee and bitter after a while of drinking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Variety pack from macro. This rating is influenced by a hard day at work on a hot Friday. Nice smoky bitter flavour. Amber in colour. Hit the spot.

Draught as Bumpkin Ale @ Bumpkin, Stratford, London
Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and citrus. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Philym (975) - St Neots, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - JAN 18, 2014
Appearance: Clear copper/amber with finger thick ivory head. Aroma: Biscuit, peppery, subtle caramel, fruitiness and floral. Taste: Medium/high bitterness, low sweetness and low/medium sourness. Palate: Thick coarse texture, light body, average carbonation, bitter abrupt peppery burnt malt dry finish. Comments: Very bitter and seems a bit unbalanced. Tasty enough and glass lace.

Clear light brown colour. Balance of sweet malt and bitter hop in the aroma. Flavour is slightly metallic but has some light fruity notes and a dry, bitter hop finish.

BlackHaddock (3598) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - AUG 17, 2013
Clear 500ml bottle on 9th Aug 2013 at my parents: poured into a chalice (twice). Good amber coat to the brew, a small white head hung around on both poursí but not for very long. Malt front to the nose and taste, caramel and toffee notes to be precise. Mild floral and fruit hints in the taste, but the aroma is all malts. A bit thin body wise, but OK for a cheap supermarket beer, which is what this beer really is.

Keg at the RHCC - 24/12/12. Dark amber with a thin off white head that clears to the edge. Nose is malt, toffee and biscuit. Taste follows, touch of summer fruit and light hops. Medium bodied with a little spritz in the carbonation. Pretty basic boring stuff.
