Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a small foamy dark tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was dry and roasty with faint notes of coffee, chocolate and floral hops. The flavor was dry, roasty and bitter with a bit of coffee and floral hops but no chocolate. Medium length finish and medium body. Disappointing.

Bottle. Nice creamy head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and tasteare roast malt, chocolate, coffee and hops. Dry finish.

Bottle courtesy of saxo. Clear dark brown with a lasting light brown head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 210413

A finger and half of tan head on a pitch black body.
The aroma is roasted malt and a hint of chocolate.
The taste is a robust roasted malt with the chocolate balancing but not surpassing the malt. great balance.
Slick texture with moderate carbonation and medium to heavy body.
A solid stout.

Bottle pour, nice dark coloring with decent head. Aroma of roasted malt (coffee, burnt) with faint hints of cocoa. Taste is entirely roasted malt character: smoky, acidic. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice label and branding. Unfortunately the marketing is a lot better than the product.

Bottle. Thin head that does not linger. Not much chocolate on the nose. Some chocolate and bitterness. Lighter / thinner chocolate stout compared to others but still a tasty beer.

Pours nearly black. Thin head gone in a minute, no lacing.
Nose is cocoa. Taste pretty much the same with nice dark bitter chocolate notes.
Slightly thin mouthfeel, but overall not a bad beer.

Deep black pour with a bit of reddish opaqueness around the very edges. Aroma is milk chocolate and light caramel. Creamy body, high carbonation. Flavor is primarily chcolate but not as pronounced as the aroma. Toffee, caramel and a lot of prickly bitterness on the back end. Lingering milk chocolate. Definitely smoother as it warms. Good brew.

Bottle. Poured almost black with nice creamy head. Faint chocolate in the aroma. A bit over carbonated for a stout in my opinion, mouth feel not as silky as i’d like. A lot of roasty notes, and a nice bitter bite at the finish, though the chocolate didn’t come through for me much at all.

Aroma: light chocolate and strong coffee aroma.
Appearance: small, rocky, light-brown, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Dark-brown body.
Taste: lightly sweet, coffee-like initial flavor with lightly acidic, coffee-like finish and very long duration.
Palate: medium-to-full body with watery dry and soft carbonation.
Overall: although the first bottle I tried was so-so, the second was very good, and I look forward to drinking this again. Outstanding aroma and very strong coffee flavor.
