Had in the bottle at a local watering hole. I was never overly impressed with organic anything. The beer had a nice aroma of chocolate and malts. Poured dark almost black with an off white head. Did find this beer to be a bit light for me. One was great, but I would not want to have a lot of this at one time

Opaque deep dark brown beer with a tinny beige head that barely forms before disappearing. Nose of bitter cocoa, coffee, and burnt sugar. Flavor is more of the same with unsweetened chocolate, espresso, and dark roasted grain, but the flavor is surprisingly subtle with little finish. A bit of bitterness lingers, but not much more. Decent, but not great.

Black pour with small tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and cocoa. Taste of chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, touch of lactose, cocoa and faint milk sugar. Nice and chocolaty stout with nice carbonation, nicely balanced. Excellent stout!

Milk chocolatey. Coffee. Sweet. Roasted. Tasty stout. Rounds out nicely. Really light body.

Bottle split w/ Travlr. Cheers! Chestnut brown with a small head. The nose had some red fruit accents. Mellow chocolate. Not much else. The taste also lacks personality. Thin burnt caramel and roasted coffee. Way over carbed. Not great.

Interesting but not so chocolate alike in taste. Nice features and some cocoa powder aroma but not much.

Bottle. Pours a light brown. Mild lacing with a small head. .. Coco, muddy water, and some chocolate kids porridge .. . Overall way to light and just a bit muddled, not my cup of tea .. . . What’s the etiquette when you pull up next to a dude with the same exact car as you? Avoid eye contact? Nod? Wink? Swordfight?

From notes, consumed on 4/7/13. Bottle poured into a tulip pint glass. Pours black with almost a finger of tan head. Aromas of roast, coffee, dark chocolate. Tasting notes of dark and milk chocolates, roast, pretzels. Light body with a semi-dry finish.

Pours an opaque, oily black into the glass, with a non-retentive head. The nose is chocolates and grapes. Vinous flavors, cocoa, roasted malts, light roasted bitters to finish. The mouthfeel is full-bodied, softly carbonated and very drinkable. Complex, vinous and chocolatey, this is a very nice organic offering! Fresh!

UPDATED: FEB 16, 2014 12oz bottle says 5% ABV (this site says 6.1%). Nice fluffy head that lingers with fast lacing over a nearly opaque and plain dark brown body. Aroma is cocoa with a little coffee seemingly serious and above the swill. Taste is mildly sweet like an oatmeal stout. Finish is bitter. Palate is creamy. Classy like good chocolate. Happy to have the six-pack from the store that stocks it.
