Draught. This is another seasonal that throws the whole spice cabinet into the mix. Good but only for a bottle.

12oz bottle. Looks like a porter...dark pour, not much lacing. You get the spiciness in the aroma, not so much the taste. Bitter and burnt are the primary tastes, not terrible. A little malty, not too much else, but not bad. Gingerbread is hard to pin down in the taste.

This is one of the "winter" beers that suffers from just too many baking spices. It tastes like liquid nutmeg to me, a whole bottle of it definitely starts to just taste annoying.

This spiced organic porter was brought back from Las Vegas, by Lilihel. Pours a dark brown, cola-like, with a beige frothy head, good retention and somewhat creamy lace. Ginger aromas with notes of grain, cinnamon and outside green, from the hop. Mild creamy mouthfeel, but a little on the thin side. The hop seems to take over in the taste, still on the mild side, but with the light porter characteristics, and the spices showing a little in the finish. Roasted malt in the aftertaste with the hop lingering. Wish the spices and porter-side was a little more powerful, than the hop, and the palate a slightly heavier.

Tap at World of Beer in Orlando. Very dark brown with a beige head. Chocolate, and gingerbread spice aroma. Nice and complementary as opposed to dominating. Semi-sweet and spiced. Nice holiday beer. Medium bodied and smooth.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. From the Party Source. Nearly pitch-black with thin white head that left spotty lace down my tulip. Smells does remind me of gingersnap cookies or the ginger bread men. Flavor to me is honestly more chocolate than gingerbread, yet the gingerbread shows itself in a subtle way in the finish. The body is for sure a porter, rather then a stout. Sweet yet not cloying. This is pretty interesting, not something you want on a regular basis but a nice holiday brew without doubt.

Pours dark brown with a tan head. Gingerbread and nutmeg aromas. Similar flavors with coffee, chocolate, and roasted grain notes. Medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is a little thin. The finish is spicy with a little residual hop bitterness that lingers in the aftertaste.

2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark amber pour with tan white head. Some ginger aroma but not more. Very low tasting beer. Pretty much water and malty flavor. Not much there for a very expensive beer.

Out of the holiday beer club pack from Uptown. Pours a very rich and deep red color with a white head. Slight smell of ginger. Taste is watery with only slight hints of ginger. A slightly roasted flavors as well. Not my favorite holiday beer.
