COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dark mohogany, medium-bodied porter. Chewy dark malt flavors have a big spicy overlay of fresh baked gingerbread men.

Appearance was clear brown with creamy off white diminishing 1/2 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are spices of ginger, nutmeg ,cinnamon and slight chocolate, pale, and crystal malts. Yeasts are clean with no aclohol present. Taste are hints of sweet biscuity, cocoa malts with slight spices of ginger, nutmeg and English yeasts. Palate was soft smooth CO2 with medium body, then an average length boring dryish finish. A little bland, good try.

Toasty malt aroma has bready and, yes, ginger overtones. Pours barely translucent mahogany with a fairly thick dirty light tan head. Flavor has roast malt at its core, which supports ginger, cloves, and subtle caramel notes. Texture is rather watery and not too fizzy. Still, a good brew for the winter holidays, whatever you celebrate.

12 oz bottle from Total Wine & More - Gilbert (AZ). Dark brown appearance with a tan head. Aroma of bread, cinnamon, nutmeg, light ginger, herbs, other spices and dark malts. Flavor is spiced, rich and malty with mild sweetness. OK.

Rated based on notes taken 25 Dec 2011 -- A good beer for Christmas Morning/Afternoon/Night. Very Christmas spicy. A little lacking on backbone.

12oz bottle. Poured a medium brown, almost cola-like color with a small off-white head. Aroma was some light spices and sweet malt characters, some light ginger notes. Flavor is cocoa, toasted malts, and some thin notes of gingerbread. A bit disappointing.

Malty, light roasty, some spice, muted. Sale pour, nearly black, small/no head. Metallic, grainy, some roast, spice -ginger, cinnamon...but lacking overall. Mehhh

Not a bad pour of moderate darkish brown. Zesty nose of some sweetness and moderate spice, some cinnamon and nutmeg. Flavor is similar with more caramel sweetness. Not bad but multiple won’t happen with me.

It doesn’t really taste like gingerbread, but it still has a great dark malty flavor to it that makes it a good beer standing alone.

Bottle from old backlog notes 07. Pours dark brown in color with reddish highlights and a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have mild roasted malt and chocolate with heavier doses of gingerbread cookies and spices,. The body is on the thin side which distracted me a little.
