COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
West Coast Ale brewed with a blend of the season’s best organic hops, hand-selected by Bison’s brewmaster and owner, Dan Del Grande.

Like California sunshine in a bottle, Hop Cuvée radiates a golden hue with brilliant clarity and bright effervescence. It is a crisp, citrusy and tropical ale with a touch of pine-like bitterness and a clean, dry finish. Refreshing and sessionable, Hop Cuvée satisfies both hop lovers and craft beer newbies. Somewhat musty aroma, malty, bone dry finish. Chalky mouthfeel. Taste is malt and butter. Interesting mix.

Decent cuvée. Pours a nice golden color, with a light white head. Smells of tropical fruit and honey. More of that in the taste, with a dry, slightly bitter finish. Had in the bottle in Sonoma. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I’ve still to have an organic beer I really like. The best thing about this beer is its golden color. Doesn’t have much taste to it, there’s some malt and a tiny bit of hops. It’s on the sweet side, with a hint of citrus at the end.

Pours a amber gold with a thin white head. Aroma of malt, slight hop bitterness. Taste is very malty with only a touch of hops, very sweet. Not good

Light straw yellow. Pot like/piney hop aroma. Mild sweetness in the first sip, almost honey like. Mild to low carbonation makes this seem Sessionable. Middle turns moderate dry and finish is nicely complex with a woodsy like flavor. A little weak in the palate for me.

Bison Organic Hop Cuvee is a nice session beer that goes well with food. Fresh hop aroma, slightly citrus, although not real prominent. Pours amber with a decent head. Taste is a nice hop blend with the citrus most noticeable. Finish is clean without too much bitterness. Hop Cuvee is a solid pale ale although not particularly a standout.

Wheaty, slightly mineral aroma from a very hazy medium yellow body with a white head. More wheat in the flavor along with a honey/karo sweetness. Slight herbal, vegetal flavor that’s not very clean. Good herbal/citrus, pine bitterness that sticks to the tongue. Things are a bit out of balance here and kind of muddled, but it’s still enjoyable and definitely improves as it warms up.

12oz bottle pours with a hazy copper to gold body that supports a thin near white head. The aroma offers up malt sweetened pine hops and sweet citrus hard candy with floral hops in the background. The taste is similar with a thin Great Divide Old Ruffian malty resiny pine hop start. It then meanders into tangelo and clementine sweetened hard candy like hoppiness. There’s a mild sweet maltiness in the background to give this some base. Interest malt and hop mixture for a Pale and it lacks the crisp snappiness I enjoy in the style.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, orange color with a thick, white head. Light, citrus aroma with a decent sense of hops. Hoppy taste with a light sense of citrus but nothing amazing. An OK IPA. Not much substance.
