COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our organic IPA uses Tomahawk, Cascade, and Centennial hops for a rustic, rough-hewn hop character that pairs great with food or relaxing among friends. Prominent citrus and pine aromas and bitterness that is not over the top balances this medium bodied copper-colored brew.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2005 From the bottle.

Pours a cloudy amber with a reasonable head. Both the aroma and flavor are all pine and pepper, with hints of apple in the flavor. The palate is smooth, buttery with a bit of bite from the carbonation. The hops are not in-your-face, but certainly present enough to make this a clear and enjoyable IPA. Not a bad effort, though also not among my top choices.

12 oz bottle purchased as a single (with some complaining by the cashier) at Whole Foods. Pours mostly clear orangey brown color with a moderate fluffy beige head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is pretty faint and predominantly earthy hops, some dustiness, hints of citrus and toasted malts in the background. Decent IPA flavor, nice sweet caramel and fruity malt backbone with more of the earthy hops along with grapefruit rind notes and some pepper and spiciness in the finish. Medium body and moderate to prickly carbonation. Not a bad beer overall, I’m surprised that so many have rated it so low.

MAP (1133) - Lakewood, Ohio, USA - AUG 25, 2005
Nice clean copper color with a thin white head. Aroma is slightly cirtusy and has a decent malt profile. The taste is a bit off indeed. Clean and generous and decently hopped until the end, where it gets to taste soapy and spoiled. This is quite unfortunate. It is just one mark off from being a really solid good IPA, but the end flavor just kills it.

I’m really not a fan so far of this brewery, two beers and both have tasted infected. This IPA pours amber with an offwhite head. Massive hops throughout, but a big ol funk in the finish made it taste dirty and sour.

This is pretty much a hop free IPA. Not bad, but if you’re looking for hops, go elsewhere. Much more malt sensibilities in it, especially the aroma. Sweet flavoring, with more malt highlights. Easy on the mouth, but not something I’ll look for.

Strong aroma poured out of the bottle. Verry hoppy. Aroma and hoppiness subsided somewhat (or I built a tolerance for it as I kept drinking). Amber color, good head and lace. This was my first organic beer and I was not disappointed. I really liked it as I kept drinking.

22 oz bomber. Orange copper coloured with a thin white head. Earthy malty aroma, with some biscuit and toffee along with a shot of piny hops. Flavour is a bit buttery with caramel, toffee, and an intense resinous hop flavour. Decent bitterness. I found the butter and dank earthiness made this undrinkable as it warmed. Didn’t taste infected, but definitely not my style.

Bottle: Burnt orange, slight haze, moderate frothy off-white head, fairly decent lacing, mild carbonation.   Earthy aroma, not musty at all, but quite soil like, subtle hop presence.   Quite herbish, earthy, soil like at start, decent maltiness, with a soft hop trailer on the backside.   Fairly clean finish.   Average body and mouthfeel.   Decent offering, but a bit too much soil.

Served from a 12 oz bottle. In appearance this doesnt look much like your typical IPA, its dark copper/amber in colour with a large thick off white head. Nice hoppy aroma present, a little citric..lime rather than lemon. Nice caramel malt sweetness in the tate to begin with then in a sec the piney, grapefruity hoppiness takes over and then at the end it subsides and seems balanced one more. Good on the palate, not boring at all. Very nicelly done IPA, not over the top..but has loads of chracter. Certified USDA Organic
