2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 beerguy101 (4921) - Newark, California, USA - APR 1, 2006
This IPA pours a deep orange color from a 120z bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel, orange, slightly floral and sweet. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are caramel and sweet, fairly sweet. Hops are earthy and floral. English style IPA, more malty than hoppy. A little bitterness shows up late. It is an uninspired tasting, standard run of the mill brewpub IPA. Organic or not its kind of boring. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ibrew2or3 (4914) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - FEB 2, 2007
22oz bomber. Color is copper with some red and some sort of hazy orange. Thin long lasting off white head. The aroma is a bit too light to really get a good sense of it. I think I get some vague hoppiness like pine and also a hint of malt. The flavor is up front pine hop bitterness with slivers of sweeter pine hop flavor. Following that I occasionally get a thin watery flavor. Then the malts enter with light roastiness, biscuit, melanoidin and wet hay. This IPA is maltier than most and one of the better organic brews I’ve tried.

Bottle. Rich amber beer with an off-white head. Grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit, light pine, and light caramel flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit, pine, and a light earthiness lingers.

12 oz bottle - exploded out of the bottle with a big tan head, but it quickly withdrew. Reddish amber. Caramel aroma. Earthy hoppiness, and a bitterness without citrus ... Tart finish.

Poured a copper color with a small off white head that left no lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, nuts, some wood putty, and grassy hops. Taste of caramel malts, nuts, citrus fruits, and a light bitterness. Dry finish.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 blankboy (4437) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 12, 2008
Bottle (22oz) shared with jerc, mabel, GregClow & mds -- courtesy of mabel. Pours orange-amber with an average size lasting foamy -white head. Aroma’s hoppy, sweet and fruity. Flavour of hops and citrus fruit, a bit sweet and a medium bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. I think it was perhaps a touch past it’s due but it was still an enjoyable IPA, I’d have it again.

Orange-tinted gold, robust white head leaving early lacing. Rich caramel malt in equal portion to fruity resinous hops. Good malt structure, loaded with perfumey floral hops, moderately bitter finish. Very nice.

[1069-20080201] 1pt6floz (w/ blankboy, GregClow, jerc, mds). Mild yeast aroma has a bit of grassy heather and slightly medicinal corn on the cob. Hazy, amber orange body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Grains and grassy yeast flavour has bitter hops that fades quickly. Medium body is bitter up front. Interesting.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 thedm (4124) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 18, 2006
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy fine to medium sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a slightly hazy softly carbonated orange brown colored body and a good lacing. The aroma was hoppy. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt hops and caramel. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 PorterPounder (4105) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 30, 2006
UPDATED: APR 7, 2008 Rerate Aroma much more enticing this time around. Original 3.3 Market Square Liquors - Tallahassee, Fl - 12 oz bottle. Funky aroma with a hint of cat urine but is saved by a sprucey back end. Medium copper pour with a good sized khaki head. Sharp citrusy flavor, some nuttiness around the edges. Slightly stinging mouthfeel. Overall, decent.
