COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Winter Warmer is a classic dubbel-style ale that warms body and soul through the chill of Winter and Fall. We enjoy the chewy, malty flavors mingling with a slight fruitiness and raisin character but aromas and flavors will continue to evolve. Our bottle-conditioning leaves some sediment, so store cool, then decant by slowly pouring into two wide mouth glaass to enjoy with a friend. Ale brewed with raisins.

clear dark red, fine beige head, rich dark caramel aroma, sweet fruity character, hint of toffee, spicy dark caramel flavor, drier than the aroma would indicate, touch of chocolate, nice spicy character, good fruit character but needs the sweetness to make it fully ripen,

Rich malty aroma. Deep ripe apricot color, approaching brown. A thin white ring is all the head. Starts lightly spiced and malty, quickly give a burst of sugary sweetness, then passes to something like a brown ale taste, followed by a small amount of hop. The alcohol is definitely noticeable. Quite warming.

Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured a hazy brown with an average frothy light brown head that was mostly lasted and produced good lacing. Heavy malt, dark fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture. Full balanced fruity bittersweet flavor with the same long finish with a very small alcohol tone. Good well balanced brew.

Bottle sampled in Feb 2008: Pours a transparent copper amber with a wispy lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet dark caramel and raisin fruitiness with some bready doughy yeastiness. Starts with some sweet caramel and doughy Belgian yeast toward an airy mildly bittersweet finish. A pretty decent winter warmer.

Cloudy dark brown beer. Not much head. Light crisp and slightly dry. Brewed with raisans - the taste of them is in there but evenly matched with some toffee caramel. Ends with mild aniseed alcohol. Strangely lightly flavoured and easy going for a 9% beer!

Pours brown with a thin whote head. Smells of cocoa, fruity, earthy. Tastes of caramel, some spciy hints, molasses. Decent.

Bomber poured a clear copper brown with a minimal lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of toffee, carmel, spice and light cocoa. Palate was medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of toffee, carmel, cocoa and spice with a crisp lingering bittersweet finish.

Bomber, 2006 Brewer’s Reserve. Poured a slightly hazy deep reddish-brown with a short beige head (receded to a thick pool and ring quickly). The aroma was very promising... deep, rich semi-sweet chocolate and raisin notes, somewhat smoked and rum-laced.. dusty toffee as it warms. Really nice! Flavor was on the dry (and mildly astringent) side with dried smoky cocoa, rum-soaked raisins, and mild earthy bitterness... warm spices and booze accents at the finish, especially as it approached room temp. This was quite enjoyable.

Bottle: Dark mahogany color, light head and lacing. Nose of vanilla and sugar, jaggery and maple with light alcohol. Subtle raisin. Thin boozy flavor, some melanoidins but they’re all color, no body. Decent, lame finish. Hmmm.
