Bov (4558), Bienne, Switzerland May 5, 2008 from crackedkettle.com - clear bright golden colour with no foam left; overwhelming aroma of wet carton and vegetables; light-bodied and tasteless, some more unpleasant paperboard notes achieve to make it undrinkable
Angeloregon (1549), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 13, 2008 Bottle from By The Bottle in Vancouver, WA-Great start your day brew! Poured a clear straw body with a thick white head. Crisp cereal flavor and a lot of nutty notes. Corn and cereal grit. A little thin, but for a N/A, quite delicious! cazort (325), San Diego, California, USA May 26, 2008 (Bottle) I am giving this beer such high numerical ratings because I feel I need to offset other raters’ biases against non-alcoholic beers.
This is my favorite non-alcoholic beer. It has the crisp, refreshing bitterness and hop bite that Clausthaler achieves, but it has more complexity to the malt, like Warsteiner. It has a metallic taste, like most German Pilseners, but it is not unpleasant. Of all the NA brews, this one tastes the most like its equivalent, the regular Bitburger. I am impressed! Balanced, complex. This is the cream of the crop when it comes to non-alcoholic beers. Beer_Hawk (628), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Apr 27, 2008 Bottle. Pours golden with a thin white head. Slight malt nose but more of a grain, corn flatness. The flavor is grainy with some hops. Finishes with a very light bitterness. Light and watery but hey it’s a low alc. Ok for its style. BeerZack (116), Austin, Texas, USA Apr 1, 2008 Clear golden pee-pee color with slight pee-pee foam covering.
Mostly a grainy cooked barley smell with some carbonic whiffs and bit of dirt.
Almost tastes like a beer. Grainy flavor isn’t as bad as most N/As I’ve tried, comes close to a bad Pils flavor. Somewhat watery and seems to have some generic acidic balance rather than hop balance. Almost drinkable. Good N/A.
