Bitburger in its summer version, fitting the recent trend of hyper-pale, soft, neutral lagers in uncoloured bottles - not promising, but let’s pour and taste anyway. Head a bit off-white, loose, thin and quickly dissipating - another bad omen. Colour indeed sunny but not more so than other pale lagers, warm golden blonde, cristal clear. Faint aroma of sweetish, honeyish pale malt, flowery hops and some solvents. Taste very neutral, watery with a malty sweetishness, hardly pils-like but pale lager alright, light sourishness, finishing shortly and very weakly hoppy, thin. Has the drinkability of mineral water but as a beer, totally uninteresting, though I did not find any actual flaws worth mentioning.

Weak golden in colour with very low head and thin body. Taste of bitter beer that was made weak and some citrus fruits and floral hints. Just no beer at all.

Clear light, very light yellow. Hard to tell foam as I am drinking from bottle. Aroma is weak pilsener. Taste is watered down pilsener, with very little aftertaste. Maybe because drinking from bottle doesn’t bring out the essence of the beer.

Test vom 29.12.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,3,3,1,9,3 - 3,30

Bottle 33cl, a clear yellow beer with medium head. Nose is grassy, aroma is dry, medium malty, grassy, hops on wet paper, finish is bitter and grassy, strange plastic and paper background.
