Quite rough bitterness. Boring, but not bad considering ABV. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 1, 2007 Light-hazed golden with a temperate effervesce and a white head that fades to a scummy film. Pale malt and sour green grapes in the aroma, a bit dusty. A hint of metallica starts the flavor that is otherwise smoothly malted, and there’s a mild, herbal bitterness to finish. Palate is dry and rather chalky. Tastes bigger than 2.8%, but not much.

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 25, 2007 Bitburger is starting to be almost the favourite german pils for me, so I tried the low alc version. There is a bit of the same bite left, but just a little. It’s amazing how much a beer looses when you take a couple of % out. Not bad tho, just a little watery and a fraction of the nice hoppy afterburn of real Bitburger. Saarlander (1589), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA
