Closer to my idea of a German Pilsener than the Warsteiner I just had. Lovely aroma and very dry.

I’ve drank an ocean of Bitburger over the years. I even used to go to Bitburg to party, just for ’fresher’ beer. It’s one of my favorites. Drink it with salt & vinegar potato chips!

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2003 Lean, no frills German Pils that boasts one of the hoppier finishes I've encountered. Very dry, but with a nice sweet malt lingering in the background. This was my father's beer, so I have a special place in my heart for it. Definitely among the better pilsners in the world.

A nice pilsener. You can taste the hops here. They are not strong but they are there. Somewhat ’Heineken-esque’ in flavor without the skunky aftertaste. U.S. macros could learn something from this one.

Lovely, drinkable German pilsener. I had this on tap and it was just so nice and crisp.

Well, well, well. Another German pilsner. I’ve really got to try these side-by-side someday, so I can tell the difference. This appears to be a bit grainier tasting than most. Like a liquid yeast roll. Smooth, easy-drinking. Not very hoppy-bitter.

Soapy bitter pils style, I’m disappointed!
Pro’s: It was a freebee. Leathery honeyish, skunky bitter.
Cons: Watery, boring Pils??
Ehh I probably would not buy it.

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2005 A masterpiece of the brewer’s art, in my not so humble opinion. A wonderfully fine German Pilsner, great balance, nice malt taste, flowery hop taste kicks in, smooth, dry finish.

Better than average. Dry and fruity from the start.
