The classic Bitburger - a mature and most agreeable beer - is brewed with the best of ingredients in the same traditional way it has been for many, many years. The result is delicately tart and pleasantly bitter - with a strong hop taste.

Bottle. Pours a pale straw colour. Aroma. Aroma, sweet floral aroma with some notes of off bread. Taste. The flavours delivers a nice bitterness on entry and in aftertaste, can taste some bitter lemon and also some grain and herbal flavours, the only thing i find that sticks out is the bitter lemon though not by much. Overall. This is beer is quite bland, whilst at the same time retaining plenty of flavour.

The cheapest German beer is better than the best American mass brewed beer. Back before the (welcome) onslaught of American craft beers, German beers were the only alternative. I still love them. I have yet to find an American beer that can equal the taste of a good German beer. That’s not to diminish American beers. It’s just that there is a fundamental difference, and Bitburger Pils has it.

473 ml can. Yellow crisp beer with high carbonation. Little bitter with a dry ending. Felt a familiar feeling of a beer served on tap at sport game. Drinkable.

Big white head. Aroma is weak, mostly malty, some spicy/herbal hops. Tastes mostly of CO2, some maltiness, bitter finish. Overcarbonated. Drinkable, but forgetable.

Pours a clear yellow with a thin white head and minimal lacing. The aroma is of sweet golden malt. Going into this, I expected a typical boring Reinheitsgebot lager, but I was surprised to find that this beer has some very floral hops and is surprisingly hoppy and overall much better than I expected.

I bought this beer at the Denner in Pampigny and I drank it after a walk and going to the mushrooms. It is a regular beer, the color is yellow and clear, average carbonation, white and thin foam. The taste is watery, grainy, herbal side and some hop, refreshing.
