COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The classic Bitburger - a mature and most agreeable beer - is brewed with the best of ingredients in the same traditional way it has been for many, many years. The result is delicately tart and pleasantly bitter - with a strong hop taste.

Pours a golden color, completely clear, with little to no head. The aroma is skunk and corn. The taste is actually pretty light (my wife hates it). It’s not something I would drink often but for a lager it’s not offensive, just boring and a little skunky.

Nose is grassy/spicy/floral hops, some minerality. Flavor is same plus some grainy sweetness mid palate.

0.33 bottle at hotel machine dispenser in Dusseldorf (also at Air Berlin). Not bad.

Can poured into a shaker glass. The aroma was mildly malty with the flavor being bread and slight caramel malt. Just a tad of bitterness in the finish.

Pours golden yellow with persistent white head. Aroma of pine and a bit of herbal hops. Taste is quite bitter with some sweet malts. Kinda watery with bitter aftertaste.

Flasche (50 cl) aus einem Rewe-Supermarkt. - Goldgelb, blank.

Bottle from the minibar in my hotel. Golden body with nice white head. Aroma is mostly grains with hints of herbs. Taste is also grainy. Aftertaste is bitter and grainy.

A bit sweeter after taste, notes of herbs a bit here and there. The palate is left with a bitter feeling but not very strong as hoppier ales have.

Pours golden straw color with very thick foamy head. Some lacing.

Smells a little like hay and hops sort of hiding in there. I’m not overly impressed.

Taste is slightly of lemon and grain. There’s some definite hops in there. I like that lingering bitterness, lasting well after swallow.

Mouthfeel is watery, yet finishes very dry. It’s light. It finishes bitter and crisp.

Overall it reminds me of Budweiser as far as taste goes. But this is better. I would consider buying it again. But only if price was competitive with Budweiser.

A mid golden yellow coloured beer with a thick white head. A light, metallic hop aroma, some evidence of pithy citrus fruit. Dry mouthfeel. The taste is hoppy, pithy citrus and metallic. This is followed by a mild, dry malt flavour that does balance the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

50cl can from the convenience store. Pours a clear yellow with a high white head that leaves impressive lacing. Nose is of hay, light cereals, pils and slight cardboard. Taste is dry and features some interesting cereals and a light earthy hops presence. Some cardboard as well but the can is not even past its best before date (05/06/2015)? Body is light and carbonation high, causing massive burps and feeling watery. Overall an OK pilsener, I think I need to try it fresher someday.
