The classic Bitburger - a mature and most agreeable beer - is brewed with the best of ingredients in the same traditional way it has been for many, many years. The result is delicately tart and pleasantly bitter - with a strong hop taste.

Poured from 500ml can into pint glass Appearance: pours a 2" thick white head which moderately recedes leaving some lacing. Light golden mostly clear appearance with plenty of streaming carbonation. Aroma: bready malts dominate with some yeast and hops present. Mouthfeel: light and frothy with a very pleasant finish. Flavor: lightly toasted barley malt, a bit of caramel, some lemon, grass, and a mild hop bite for balance. Overall: a delicious and highly enjoyable pilsner.

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2015 Aroma: grains, corn, a little malts, a little leaves, maybe a bit of grass; not terribly Pilsenery, but certainly an improvement. Appearance: pale golden, clear, with a medium head that doesn’t disappear completely. Taste: mildly sweet, very mildly bitter, just a bit sour. Palate: body below medium; carbonation average; finish faintly sweet. Overall: this isn’t a huge praise, but it’s better than most Pilseners.

Lata, 50cl.
