3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 PorterPounder (4105) - Tallahassee, USA - JAN 3, 2005
On tap at the Bitter End in Austin - described as a "souped up version" of their Bitchin’ Camaro. Pours a medium orange color with a thin off white head and thin lacing. Slight fruity aroma, pick up nectarines and peaches. Brief citrus bitterness with the same nectarines and peaches found in the aroma. Some caramelly maltiness in the back end rounds it out nicely. Mouthfeel is slighltly spritzy but finishes kind of creamy too. Overall decent, as most from Bitter End are.

On tap at Bitter End. My first time to this joint, so I have not tried the Bitchin’ Camaro. Nice red color with a light white head. It is a fairly hoppy brew, but not overly so. Good balance between the malt and the hops. Smooth and drinkable. Bitterness in the aftertaste. Not my favorite beer, but this is one that you could drink many of in one sitting and not get too tired of it.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 AceOfHearts (1375) - San Francisco, California, USA - JAN 16, 2005
Tap. I liked this a lot. It was like the Bitchin Camaro’s little brother. As I’m not a hop-head, I appreciated the nice malt/hop balance. Crispy and very drinkable, and I don’t mean "drinkable" in the sense of "average beer that I can swallow" - it’s really good. Hop flavor throughout but not overpoweringly so. Mildly bitter, floral.

Big head that formed a cone shape at the top of the glass. Very nice lacing. Deep copper color. Great sweet floral nose. Large hop flavor with a hugh body to back it up. The finish has a nice lingering bitterness to it. A lot more flavor and body then the Bittin’ Camaro! Great beer.
