Humulone_Red (743), Vancouver, Washington, USA Jul 2, 2005 Clear dark red with a nice head and good lacing. Nice chocolate and malt in the nose. Flavors of chocolate and coffee with caramel notes and a slightly dry bitterness at the end. Good Porter. jtxx (137), san antonio, Texas, USA Jun 1, 2005 On tap at the Bitter End. Sewage backup, so the place stinked. Oh well...this is a decent Porter. Little light on the flavor. PorterPounder (2828), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jan 20, 2005 Had on tap at The Bitter End in Austin, Tx. Dark red fading to brown pour, mocha colored head, decent lacing. Aroma has notes of chocolate and coffee. Creamy mouthfeel. Flavor has notes of chocolate and coffee of course, with a bit oif a winey backend taste. Mouthfeel is slightly creamy and quite nice Above average porter for a brewpub, which tend to make porters slighlty gritty - not the Bitter End, though. RateandPillage (417), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jan 19, 2005 On tap at Bitter End. Pours dark brown with a light tan head. Aroma and flavors of dark roasted malt, coffee and a little chocolate. They labeled it as a "robust" porter, but to me it seems a litte dry for this description. This said, it still is a pretty nice Porter. achtungpv (121), Buda, Texas, USA Nov 26, 2004 A nice beer. Smoky flavor, not the maltiest beer out there but it is up front in the beginning and finishes slightly bitter. Not the best porter out there, but definitely worth repeating.
