[500ml bottle that Dad shared with me - cheers!] Pours a clear bronzey-amber with a barely-there white head. Taste of caramel and malt with a light bitterness and a little hop resin in the finish. There’s moderate carbonation - too much for the style of beer. Overall an OK bitter.

050711: Clear amber color fine off-white head. Woody aroma. Caramel and maly aroma. Good soft sommer ale taste unfortunately fast disappears.

Cask, JDW, Carlisle. Quite sharp, with a cloying twist. Some fruit, but it becomes overpowering then astringent. Reasonable finish, but not really one to savour.
