DA (2280), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Feb 18, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours deep amber with a small white head, mild lacing. Nose of fruity malts and very light spicing. Not as crisp and dry as I was hoping for from the "belgian" name tag. Hopped up finish, sorta like they took their hoppy amber ale and just dropped a Belgian yeast strain and didn’t ferment it at very high temps to get a lot of esters. kyzr (894), Bozeman, Montana, USA Jan 27, 2008 Amber color with small white head. Nose of yeast and malt. Flavor is yeasty up front, with caramilized sugar and almost a bit peaty. Light body with light carbination. Leaves a coating on the palate.
