Aubrey (2614), Denver, Colorado, USA Aug 29, 2008 Golden-orange color with a nice head. Smooth and creamy texture. Surprisingly complex malts -- intense toast, rich toffee and dark caramel. Some burntness and a pinch of campfire. Earthy hops with dark pine, ripened grapefruit, pear and apricot. Rock-candy sweetness lingered, as did grass. Fitting level of bitterness. Really tasty IPA with some interesting things going on. Solid malt backbone as well. hopealicia (3), Missoula, Montana, USA does not count Aug 24, 2008 Appearance: Clear, hardly any head.
Taste: Not a whole lot there. Watery and light. Not a strong finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-Bodied
Drinkability: Not a strong contenter with the other greats out there! Too easy to forget. bitbucket (1570), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 1, 2008 Bomber. ChainGangGuy (1602), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA May 4, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, amber body with a small, white head. Pretty much looks like their PA.
Smell: Spicy toffee drops with a few drops of lemon oil.
Taste: Sweet, lightly caramelly malts. Hint of lemon oil sprinkled with spice and table sugar (again, like their PA), though with a bit more spice this time. Medium bitterness lingers on into the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Strinkingly similar to their Pale Ale, just with a slight increase in the hops.
