(22oz bottle) Clear brown-black body with medium beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, coffee, smoke. Taste is medium sweet, smoke, coffee, some chocolate. Watery light-medium body, really drinkable. Nothing fancy, but does just what it sets out to do.

22oz bottle acquired in trade with kyzr (thanks!). Poured a deep brown color with an averaged sized off whtie head. Aromas of roast, chocolate, and I’m getting a woody earthiness as well. Tastes of roast, smoke, chocolate, and has a light coffee bitter finish. Thnner body.

Pours a transparent dark mahogany with a wispy-lacing tan head. Aroma of dry smoky malts with some roasty notes. Body starts lightly sweet and thinner with a hint of tartness and smoky character before a watery semi-tart light fruity finish. Needs more body and sweetness.

Thanks sam! porus a dark brown color wtih a beige head. Nose of roasted malt, chocolate, smoke, raisins and prunes. Flavor has some nice smoke to blend wtih the roasted malt and some dark fruits. Hints of chocolate and coffee are noticeable from sip to sip. Overall not as bad as its score indicates. Pretty ok actually.

Draught at the brewpub: Dark muddy brown/black. Nose of light sweet chocolate roast. The flavor is nice and balanced, highly minerally but it balances the roast and comes across chewy and full bodied.
