COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Fall seasonal is rich and malty sweet, amber colored and low in hops. Imported peat smoked distillers malt is used to give our Scottish Style Ale its smokey flavor and aroma.

Received a single 22-oz bomber via secret santa. Pours a semi-clear dark amber colored brew with an average off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring and film top. Aroma of caramel malt, some light toffee, a hint of smoked peat and some yeast. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of caramel malt, smoked wood, a little peat and toffee. Finish is semi-sweet with a little smoked caramel aftertaste and minimal bitterness.

Bottle from kyzr. Dark amber color with a thin head. Light smoke, peat, butter, toffee, and sweet malt aroma. Initial flavor is smokey bbq w light toffee notes. As it warms, it becomes less smokey up front. The smoke actually begins toaccompany the sweet toffee and caramel malt notes. Nice bittering hops give a pleasant finish to this one. Medium to high carbonation. My only complaint is that seemed a bit thin. Essentially a smokey amber ale. This was a good one.

Dark amber pour with small brown thin head. Hint of smoke, yet rather sweet malt nose. At first, the smokeiness is the main factor, yet once it warms, the peat malt really start to control the flavor. Very well balanced with a medium mouth feel. Finish is kind of sweet, yet undercontrol. My new favorite from Bitter Root Brewing!
