Dickinsonbeer (2550), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Dec 13, 2007 On tap at bittings. Pours a deep dark brown almsot black with a lasting beige head. Aroma is nutty, doughy yeast, caramel, chocolate and light roast. Full flavor- sharp dark caramel- special B sweetness, Toffee, sharp dark chocolates, and some modest coffee roast character in the end. Mildly bitter. bigrond (866), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 21, 2007 I was unimpressed with this oatmeal stout. It lacked any real palate and had nothing going else goin on either. Very dissappointing. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA Dec 13, 2006 Major coffee-espresso flavors going on here, plus a lot of nuttiness that’s either enjoyable or disgusting, depending on your tastes. Black like tar. jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Feb 12, 2006 on tap-pours a rocky tan head that laces. Color is brown with red tint. Aroma is dark malt. Taste is coffee, oatmeal, dark malt. Nice, even though not my taste. pivo (2488), Germany Jan 9, 2005 Roasted nose, dark black color, lathery head. Dark roaste malt body with an espresso finish. The roastedness covers the fact that this is thin and weak, really. Still an OK beer. Fun and enjoyable, but rather average.
