13/II/13 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk) @ home - BB: VI/13 (2013-164)

Clear deep purple brown beer, nice creamy beige head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: dark ripe fruits, red berries, bit dry, dusty hops, overripe fruits, caramel, bit chemical and sugary. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sourish start, mocha, some roasted flavours, little bitter, hoppy, caramel, some citrus. Aftertaste: bitter hops, mocha, hint of chocolate and caramel, sourish ending with a fruity note. Not very interesting, used the rest to cook with.

33cl bottle @ home shared with my dad. You’d expect a brown or dark brown beer, but this one is so dark you’ll only see the red glow coming through when you hold a lighter behind it. Full sized beige head that disappears fairly quickly. Don’t smell much, just some malts, slightly sugar and a distant hint of fruits. Taste malts, lightly sweet, some sugar, a hint of plums and some other fruits and maybe some caramel as well. Medium body, medium carbo. Pleasant to drink, but at the same time a bit boring. Decent.

33cl, BB 06-2013 from Willems en Zoon, label indicates brewed at Schedelbrouwerij. Cuivrée opaque, col moyen crémeux beige-café au lait. Arôme malte, fruité rappelant des pruneaux séchés - cerise. Sucre brun.

Thankx to Yuri! Very dark brown, medium head that should stay a bit longer. Very sweet smell of dark red fruits and caramel. The alcohol gets trough also, a bit to hard and makes the smell a bit liquorish. Sweet caramel, fruity, also malty taste that goes to a bit less pleasant dry-earthy and spiced taste.
