33cl, BB 06-2013 from Willems en Zoon, label indicates brewed at Schedelbrouwerij. Cuivrée opaque, col moyen crémeux beige-café au lait. Arôme malte, fruité rappelant des pruneaux séchés - cerise. Sucre brun.

Thankx to Yuri! Very dark brown, medium head that should stay a bit longer. Very sweet smell of dark red fruits and caramel. The alcohol gets trough also, a bit to hard and makes the smell a bit liquorish. Sweet caramel, fruity, also malty taste that goes to a bit less pleasant dry-earthy and spiced taste.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, amber beer with a creamy off-white to beige head leaving some lacings. Anonymous nose with an interesting spice profile. Malts and dried fruits as well. Malty flavor with alcohol, caramel and hints of bread. Bitterness. Full-bodied, warming and smooth mouthfeel. Warming, bitter finish. A decent beer, not raising any eyebrows. 091024

Bottle, 8.5%. Good malty aroma, a bit of dust and chalk. Clear brown colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is nicely sweet and malty. Has some yeast in the finish, which does not taste very good. Also a good dose of alcohol which warms a bit.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear orangey brown with a lively and firm off-white head leaving some laces. Aroma of overripe fruit, some phenollic esters but also an unclean fusty edge. Medium body, nice overripe and dried fruity accents with some burned caramel. Warming alcoholic finish. 241009

MoritzF (7342) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAY 21, 2009
(33cl bottle) Hazy, reddish amber colour with a beige giant foamy head. Rather discreet aroma for a Dubbel: yeasty, moderately sweet and toasted malty nose with spicy and slightly gassy notes. Bitter flavour with a moderate sweetness, medium bodied, slightly fizzy on the tongue. Toasted malty taste with very subtle fruity but rather strong spicy notes; burnt-bitter finish with a sourish fruity tinge in the background. Lacks complexity and strength (21.V.09).
