Pours hazy amberorange and a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet and a bit sticky caramelly and fruity with a pleasant light spicy note. Hints of menthol. Flavor is sweet as well. Malt, toffee and dry grassy note with a sharp edge. Ultra dry finish. A somewhat odd beer, but not bad and definately better that a lot of the crap that comes out in
Denmark these days. Thanks Papsoe!

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Papsoe (22948) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 4, 2006
UPDATED: FEB 19, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Comes as "Brygmand Sangerøl". Pours a beautiful, clear dark amber with a small, creamy, off-white head. Spicy, vaguely hoppy nose. Full-bodied with solid malty accents. Perhaps I do sense a vague touch of the sweet gale, or it could be just my imagination. Unfortunately the beer has a strong saline impression - very unusual and unfortunate. 290106
