Ungstrup (11353), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 27, 2006 A deep red beer with a dense light brown head. The aroma is sweet with a nice mixture of fruit, berries, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of berries, fruit, alcohol, and candy sugar. The end is dry mainly from the alcohol, but also with a slight acidity from the berries. The alcohol is warming the tongue. Papsoe (10267), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 3, 2006 Updated: Feb 19, 2007(Bottle 50 cl) Comes as "Brygmand Julebryg". Hazy, reddish amber with a small, off-white head. Very fresh and fruity nose. Only a medium body in spite of the alcohol with plenty of fruity accents - fruit rather than spice. Maybe a wee saline touch? Notes of fruit bubblegum - Hubba Bubba style. A rather unusual but neat Christmas beer. 290106 yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 14, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy amber and with a diminished brown head. Fresh orange fruity aroma.
